THE ABC MURDERS - BOOK REVIEW

the ABC murders...

My god ! What a breathtakingly amazing book. I just finished reading it yesterday and it just blew my mind away !

This is a masterpiece even from Agatha Christie's standards! (and we all know just how brilliant an author Agatha Christie is! )

But enough of the chit-chat, you probably came here to read the book review ad not how it blew my mind away. So lets get started with the review of THE ABC MURDERS.

THE ABC MURDERS:-

Generally, in most of Agatha Christie's books, we see a murder being committed and then the murderer trying his best to hide each and every clue which can get him caught and tries his best to maintain a low profile and stay out of the list of suspects.

But guess what, this time Christie tried a new approach !

Because this time the murderer does not want to maintain a low profile but rather wants to make a splash in the public eye. He wants to make a reign of terror ! and guess what else, this time he has openly challenged our favorite detective Mr. Hercule Poirot to catch him.( can you believe his guts !!!).

Here is the intro to the story given at the back of the book:-

'Let us see, Mr. Clever Poirot, just how clever you can be.'

Murder is a very simple crime. But at the hands of a maniac, a serial killer, it becomes a very complicated business.

With the whole country in a state of panic, the killer is growing more confident with each successive execution, Mrs. Ascher in Andover, Betty Bernard in Bexhill, Sir Carmichael Clarke is Churston...

But laying a trail of deliberate clues to taunt the proud Hercule Poirot might just be his first mistake.

The book is absolutely abundant with great thrilling moments. With the murderer's madman-like traits and his insanity of randomly killing any person in an alphabetical order and Poirot's great mind doing its best to analyze every possible clue to catch this madman, oh man ! Just give it a chance, just read it once, and believe me,

YOU ARE GONNA LOVE IT !!!

SHORT NOTES ON CHEMICAL BONDING

The process of bond formation is associated with the decrease in energy of the system. This lowest energy state corresponds to the most stable state of the system .Different types of bond formation takes place depending on the nature of the participating atom. LATTICE ENERGY :- the amount of energy released when the oppositely charged gaseous ions are brought closer from an infinite distance to form one mole of ionic crystal is called lattice energy. IONIC BOND :- An ionic bond if formed between 2 atoms which differ much in electronegativities. One atom loses one or more electrons and the other atom gains these electrons ti attain noble gas configuration. the electrostatic force existing between the oppositely charged ions is called an ionic bond. COVALENT BOND :- when the elements do not differ much in their electronegativities, transfer of electrons is not possible between the atoms. In this case, sharing of electrons takes place. "a covalent bond is formed when 2 atoms att...
